Stacy - Your friend is not necessarily right. She may
not be able to get private insurance, and it she can,
it may not cover her MS. If she gets insurance
through her employer, it depends on the insurance that
they offer. My company's plan does not have any
pre-existing condition limitations, nor does my
husband's company insurance. We are both in high tech
fields, where the companies compete for employees - so
they often offer very good benefits. Since my hubby
has a heart condition and I have MS - its pretty
important to us. Don't panic - Ann
