You make a really good point, there. The thing about sitting down to
read and not being able to read 20 pages. I think we are "all" going
through that - and it is because the pace has increased so much in this
world. When I first lived in Louisville in 62, or even in 82 when I
moved back from Washington, DC, people were still sitting on porches
sometimes and talking because of having nothing more to do - - or because
they wanted to.
There are a very few blocks now in this city where that still
happens. People are just racing back and forth. The traffic has
increased unbelieavably. Of course, Bill doesn't get out very often but
it seems that the pace is up for him, too. Even staying at home....the
pace is really faster than it used to be. I don't know.....I just
thought that was a real good point. I'm not really sure how it could be
that the pace is faster for Bill, too, but I will think about this some
more later tonight.........
