Sounds as though you have a wonderfully positive mental attitiude and that
will aid in your recovery. I'm quite late in responding to your posting so
there really isn't much that I can say that hasn't already been said.
I will share with you my .02 cents worth about PT. I don't feel as if I would
have progressed without my PT. I had in home this last time and am now
looking into a place that has swimming, massage therapy, PT, accupressure and
a sauna all in one place so that I won't have to drive all over. Everyday, I
work out on my glider for a minimum of 5 minutes, (depending on how I feel)
as well as continue with the excersise and strengthening programs that the in
home PT left me with. Without this, I don't feel I would have progressed from
this last onset. Somedays I can do more than others and I just listen to my
body. I no longer use my cane, walker or chair. But have to confess, there
are some days I still need the electric cart at the grocery store but
certainly not as often at all. Just maybe once a month compared to everytime
I went to the store! I probably should use my cane on some days but just flat
out refuse by telling myself I CAN! It works for me.
Keep your chin up and that positive attitude! Again, welcome and glad your
with us.
