[TMIC] TM and Fatigue

Hi,
I am new to the list. I came down with ATM, acute onset (inflammation
in thoracic cord as confirmed by MRI) several years back. It was
preceded by a flulike illness, and was presumed to be parainfectious or
autoimmune type. Simultaneously with the ATM, my immune system went
haywire with infections and debilitating fatigue. This was initially
diagnosed as post-viral fatigue syndrome, and later chronic fatigue
immune dysfunction syndrome. I have had much testing demonstrating
global immune and metabolic dysfunction, including a positive test for
the new CFIDS marker 2-5-A Synthetase and RNASEL enzyme deficiency
(REDD). MS and lupus, most other illnesses have been ruled out.

I am interested in hearing from others who have had TM or other
CNS/spinal cord disorders who have been diagnosed with CFIDS or who have
crippling fatigue that appears to be systemic. I am also interested in
better understanding the connection between spinal cord
injury/dysfunction and fatigue. I am also interested in better
understanding viral and autoimmune onsets of ATM. I know of two people
who had spinal meningitis (one viral, one bacterial). Both were left
with a fatigue sequelae, and one was eventually diagnosed with CFIDS.
And as we know, polio often has a fatigue sequelae.

In addition, I have severe dysathesia in the seat and saddle area from
the ATM. I am interested in learning about meds or natural remedies for
this kind of nerve pain. I could not tolerate Neurontin, and Baclofen
and Klonipin did not help the pain, although Klonipin helps my muscle
spasms. Thank you.
