Hi, Barb,

Sorry it has taken me a while to reply. My blood count is real low, so I've
been very tired, etc. BUT I have been thinking of you! They say the only
wasy to truly rule out the gallbladder is to take it out. Short of that,
ultrasound will reveal stones, and something called a gallbladder function
study (another nuclear medicine test - and that's not the real name...the
real name is something intelligible like c c k hyda lol) will show problems
related to its function, rather than stones. In my case, I had not stones
but the gallbladder functioned way too slowly.

As far as nurses and gloves, my nurses would often complain when I was
dehydrated that it made it difficult to feel the vein wearing gloves.
However, they all did (one did cut the end of the glove finger off,
though). I would personally insist on gloves since they could have anything
on their hand that you don't want introduced under your skin!

Hope things are going better

take care!
Mykella
