Robert:

Good point! There are many factors that my neurologist took into account
before he finally dxed me with MS. My MRIs of my back and neck were
negative. But the MRI of my brain showed numerous lesions, the vertigo, the
optic neuritis, the fact that the numbness moved around and the symptoms
changed, the spinal tap, the changing cognitive dysfunction, etc. He
certainly didn't dx me with MS lightly. I think if we find a neurologist we
trust and believe in, we are very fortunate indeed. I am thankful that I
found such a doctor. I think it is natural though to have second thoughts
about a dx. After a year I will sometimes still think (when I'm feeling
really good) that maybe I don't have MS after all--then I'll remember that I
have lesions in my brain and laugh at myself.
