Hi Nancy~
It is hard to say -- I don't know just what the medical community would
define as a relapse. I have wondered. I'd definitely mention it to the
doctor. I have weird things happen occasionally, too -- just lately I have
been experiencing what I can only describe as a shuddering sensation in the
muscles just above my knees. I've had weird muscle movements and jerks,
also.Those kinds of things always put me "on alert" and make me wonder if it
is just "one of those things" or an indication of new problems. My usual
course of action is to wait a while and see if it continues or goes away.
My neurologist said that TM altered or affected (can't remember which word)
my nervous system, making it more responsive to stimuli -- not, he said, that
I am a nervous person (though sometimes I am!), but that the nerves
themselves react more easily and send weird signals. I am going to send a
link to a post in the archives that has the best theory I have ever heard on
why this is; if you have any trouble getting it, let me know, and I'll copy
