My 2 cents....the evoked potentials is helpful in detecting a lesion
that may not show up on the MRI. All my MRI results were negative. I
would not want to start Avonex unless I had a definate diagnosis but I
would get the evoked potentials done. Mine were normal at the time of
my acute TM episode. They are planning to redo them now as I have had
some new neurological symptoms in the past month....20 mo after my
initial episode. I currrently have Dx of idiopathic TM ....am paralysed
from T-5 down, have had no return of function.
