My favourite all time player was Max Bentley!!
I am looking for a poem we learned in High School and I have been unable to
locate it anywhere
But I remember the Title & the first few lines: It was written in
French-Canadian "Patois" and may
not be appreciated for that reason.
Title: Monsier Joliet Author: I do not know
Opening lines:
"Boston she have good hockey team
Dose Maple Leaves is nice
But Les Canadiens is best dat h'ever skate de ice!"
One particular line stands out in my memory describing the play of his
favourite Canadien:
"And when he shoot, de wind from her, h'it knock de h'ompire down"
If anyone finds the poem in its entirety - I sure would appreciate it!
