Hi everyone,
I've been laying low for a while but had to reply to the article Bob
sent in.
No way am I going to put forth any of this as a cure for anyone but I
can tell you of my experiences with herbal remedies.
To start with----I was born crippled in my right leg; the calf was folded in half
and my right foot sat against my left knee. That was
straigtened by hot oil massages. Absolutely nothing to do with the subject but is
background as to why the right leg has always been a problem. When I was 8 years
old I had a "mild case" of polio. The
quotes belong to the doctors, not me, it hurt like hell!! Most affected was my
right leg, it was weak to begin with and a likely target. The polio also affected
my neck and I've had painful spasms
in my neck since then. Chiropractic helped but did not give complete
relief. Pain pills and muscle relaxers made me stupid but I still hurt.
Ok, back to the herbs. I take ginseng, Co Q10, Vit B12, Shark Cartilage, Vit C,
Vit E, Iron Supplement and Multi Vit every day.
My legs don't hurt, my feet don't hurt and my neck doesn't hurt. I also have a
heart condition and was taking 20-30 under the tongue
nitros every month. Sometimes more. After starting the Co Q 10 (about
two years ago) I may have used 10 nitros total in that time period!
So----did the herbs cure anything? I don't think so---if I run out of
any of this stuff it all comes back. I am a believer that they do
handle the symptoms and allow me to function relatively pain free.
Do I still have days when everything hurts? Sure. I think it would be
dumb of me to expect anything different.
But, I was told 20 years ago that I needed surgery to fuse the vertebra in my
neck. Wrong! I was told 10 years ago that I needed surgery to remove the joints
in my toes to relieve the pain. Wrong!
What I needed was a few natural, herbal remedies and a little time.
Have a great day
Alice
