If you don't want any more exacerbations, I suggest you try to get on
Avonex yesterday. I gave my wife her 10th shot last sunday, and she's still
kicking and fussing, and after the initial flu-like symptoms, which Tylenol
Extra Strength helps lessen, she's fine.
As far as am concerned (and based on hours of web research) more than two
episodes in different parts of the CNS is indeed MS, regardless of the
ignorance of so-called experienced doctors we are all experiencing
nationwide. It took me confronting Marabeth's neuro with my stack of
printouts for him to finally 'fess up and state the facts as cold as they
were.
And you're right about getting worse without the proper meds. I've heard
of several MSrs who didn't get interferone beta 1a in time, and went
steadily downhill.
Sad, sad.
