Hi everyone,

Just an update on my TM. I went to my neurologist at Yale-New Haven
this week. Btw, he is an MS specialist, and is the doc who diagnosed my
tm.

I asked him what progress there is on new meds, and he said that one
that they have been working on for ms has been stalled..(sorry I forget
the name of it).

But he did say that they are going to start human trials at Yale on a
treatment whereby they take nerve cells out of the leg, grow them, and
inject them into the spine. This is a layman's description, so please
forgive me if I am not 100% accurate, but that was the gist of what he
said.

He said that I am not a candidate for the trials, but that maybe in a
few years, if all goes well...it will be more widely available.

He tested my strength and said he felt he detected some tremors in my
hands that he didn't see a year ago..(my last visit), so he is sending
me for another mri of the brain. He didn't feel they'd find
anything..(including a brain...my little joke there :)

I also asked him to do another lime test, my last one was in '93, and I
still wonder...they also took blood to test B-12 deficiency. Will have
results in a few weeks.

On a good note, I told my boss this week that I cannot do all the
photography work anymore by myself..(only photographer at a university
for over 18 years..), and I was fully prepared to tell him I will go for
disability coverage. But he said he wants me there, and will try to get
me some help! So we'll see...

Thats all for now...I've had a little more trouble with my gait
lately..but I have also been under tremendous stress at work and other
areas...and not exercising except for stretching.
Take care friends,
Kevin
