The National Spinal Cord Injury Hotline offers a wide array of information
to help people with paraplegia and quadriplegia live more independently.
Funded by the Paralysis Society of America, the hotline has information
about therapeutic programs, home modifications, medical equipment and
recreation opportunities, among other subjects.
The hotline also refers callers to a volunteer in their area who can
share insights on spinal cord injury.
The hotline can be reached from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday
(24 hours a day for new injuries only) at (800) 526-3456.
Additional information is available from the Paralysis Society's Web
site at http://www.psa.org.
