Hi All ~
Some of us have been overloaded lately with advertisements and porno
solicitations in our mail boxes. Perhaps this will help solve the
problem.

BLIND E-MAILS
by PuterGwen
I am running this tip today because of the stories of scams that have used
the names on open e-mails to entice friendship, contributions, information,
etc. Others claim that the names are sold to advertisers and porno
solicitors. Whether these stories are true or not, there are predators on
the web that will use these names to do harm to others and their property.
We must protect ourselves and our friends. There is no controlling how many
places our screen names will be sent and we deserve the respect of you using
Blind E-mails.
To do an E-mail without the list showing is very simple. All you do is start
the list out and end it with a parenthesis (and put a comma at the end of
each name including the last. Here is a sample of what your E-mail will look
like before you send it -
(PuterGwen, Myrl2305, ClassAct12, Jon28, PuterTips, TipsNSuch,)
When each of us receive the above E-mail it will only show BCC: and our name,
but your copy will show all the names it was sent to. This tool is very
helpful when sending out to a large mail list and the recipients does not
have to wade through the long list to find out what you are sending. If you
think back to when we were doing things on typewriters in the "old n days" we
did this with a CC: on the bottom of the letter and added a BCC: to the
people that were not shown on the original letter.
If you receive an open e-mail again, please send your friends this article to
teach them how to protect themselves and you!
