Good evening Ken, Jan and all,
Ken you are right I feel about some competition with Gunny, sure will get my
vote, I had been having some problems balancing on my exercise bike, but
overcame it, I now do not use the handle bars, but use walking canes either
side to balance, and I am enjoying it more, going longer and cycling better,
my left leg is starting to tell me because I can actually feel muscle
soreness and some stiffness the next day. I used to only be able to do 5
to 10 minutes after the operation, as the balance is not too good, but now
with my new way, I am up to 40 minutes and the walking is starting to
improve again, still having some problem with the right ankle with something
grabbing when I try to stride to far and the left knee gets a little touchy
also, but we will beat it over time.
Mowing. I used to enjoy pushing the old mower around the yard, took about
two and a half hours each week in the busy season, but now I use a ride on
mower, still enjoy doing it but only takes a bare hour now. I had the ride
on modified to suit my needs, goes great.
I am also going to the disabled riding school in a week or so for an
assessment on getting back to some horse riding, they say it is one of the
great therapies, plus I haven't been on a horse for about eight years now,
sure looking forward to this one.
Watch out Gunny, you may have Ken and Errol passing you soon!!!
Kind Regards from Errol, Narnagba, Queensland Australia,(who is looking
forward to those Sunday morning walks again).
