Hi Mandy , don't feel bad about sharing your feelings . TM has done a
job on all of us and I think many times our reaction to some of the more
normal things of life just don't go over so good with the impaired
nervous system. It is not so bad now but ten or fifteen years ago it did
not not take very much for me to have a panic attack and it was usually
followed by depression. Sad to say our bodies and nervous systems don't
work as they should. You mention the problem with your right leg, that
is my problem too. A few years ago I could push a lawn mower for five or
six hours at a time, then it got too hot and dry here in TX for a couple
of summers and I did not exercise enough. Last fall I could hardly get
my leg to move when my foot got behind no matter how I would try to it
just did not want to move and when it did I would drag it. I started
swimming last Oct. and now swim two laps then walk one. I can walk in
the water. I do this for a half mile twice a week. It really helped my
mental outlook. I know that the older I get the more determination it
will take to keep trying to stay on my feet. The doctor looked at my age
on his chart Tues. and reminded me that I was 74 and I had to expect
some slowing down. Today I pushed the lawn mower until I nearly fell
three times and shut it off for a while. I'll give it another try
tomorrow. You have a lot of courage to share as you have , I hope it has
helped to tell us. Some times we have to tell some one and usually we
don't have the the understanding that we need right then. Keep looking
up God understands when no one else does.
Love Ken
