Welome Carla,
Plus my warmest greetings to little Andrew. Wow, he sure has come a
long way in the last few months. As for Andrews determination, all I can say
is.........TM doesn't touch the mind or our will power. Andrew will do what
ever he sees someone else do, cause that is what he thinks he can do too.
Continue to challenge him, motivate him to do little things everyday. Make
those challenges fun and he'll respond with such glee, you'll be surprised.
Sorry for my ignorance on having a trach, is that why he isn't able to speak?
I hope that it will be removed soon.
There are several members on this list that have children that were
diagnosed at a young age with TM, hopefully they will contact you with more
moral support and stories of their childrens experiences. I personally was
dx when I was 9 yrs. old, I didn't let anything get in my way of getting back
outside to play again. :-)

Take care and keep in touch.

Smiles,
Kris~
