It is not uncommon for a neuro to change a dx from TM to MS, after more
than one exacerbation in a separate spot. That's what happened to my wife,
and after the initial scare, we settled down and got to work. I am now
injecting her once weekly with interferon beta 1a (Avonex) which is
supposed to stop or at least lessen the intensity of any further episodes.
Extreme stress also played a major part on me missus's attacks, as it has
on others I've heard from as well (right..., Sharon..??).
Stop being scared of MS and get to work on getting the proper medications
ASAP.
