Hi all,
I am writing this note to the list to let you know of an Abilities Expo that
will be held in Anaheim, California on May 14-16. It is advertised as "The
One Show for Assisted Living Products and Services". They are also holding a
career fair on Friday and Saturday (Careers for the Disabled). More
information is available on their site at <http://www.abilitiesexpo.com>.

On Sunday, May 16, the Ms. Wheelchair California Pageant will be held. The
winner of the state pageant will represent California at the national pageant
in August. A member of the Transverse Myelitis Association is in the
competition for the title of Ms. Wheelchair California. I told her that I
would attend and be her "rooting section". If anybody else is in the
Southern California area and would like to attend, I would like to know, as I
would be excited to meet you there. (We could make up a whole cheering
section for her.)

If anybody would like to send her e-mails to show her our support, I would be
happy to print them and give them to her. Even if she doesn't win the title,
I feel that she has made a great accomplishment just to be in the
competition.
