Hi Maureen,

My name is Shelia and I am 44 years old. I was diagnosed with TM August
1998. My numbness is on the right side of my body from my armpit down. I,
too, have a "thermostat" problem. I seem not to be able to tolerate the heat
very well and I sweat on the left side of my body but not the right. I have
a difficult time determining if the room is too cold because I cannot feel
cold or hot temps very well on the right side. I do not have the pain in my
ankle, but all of us have pains somewhere or other from time to time. The
fatigue you mentioned is different for all of us. When I was first
diagnosed, the fatigue was very, very bad. I slept all the time. For me,
the fatigue has gotten better as time goes on. I still have to pace myself
and not get too tired or stressed out because my numbness, burning and
tingling seem to get worse when I am tired or stressed. I don't post much at
all, but I do read everything that is posted . I hope your husband will at
leaast read what is posted here. The group of people here are a great
support system.

Hope this helps.

Shelia
