I heard on the current affairs show on the way to work this am that there is
a scam bunch operating here and overseas regarding Y2K, banking, they ring
you stating that they are from a bank and want to check your bank details to
ensure that you will not be effected by Y2K. Our answer to that is "ask
them what bank they are from and what is their name and telephone number"
chances are that the phone will go dead. Just a thought,
