Put it behind you. Not with a resentment or a criticism
of the person that hurt you. Nothing. Just put it behind
you.
You need a course on basic salesmanship. The first lesson
is to never knock your product, in this case, yourself.
Why do you tell them about your limp? Is that a major
feature of the product? Ignore it. Ignore it in your topics;
ignore it in your thoughts. Unless you sell yourself as an
agile athlete or figure skater, it just isn't important ---
unless you insist on making it important.
The next step/lesson is to recognize the marketable features
of this product --- from the viewpoint of the customer. What
is it about you that makes you a good date/catch? Start by
telling us in a reply to this note what these features are.
