[TMIC] Grape Seed Extract

I've seen the question asked a couple of times - how much
grape seed extract to take? I, too, take grape seed
extract. White pine bark does the same thing, but I've
found it to be more expensive.

My chiro is the one who asked me to try taking it. . .a big
undertaking since I don't swallow pills at all well. I
gag. But, oh well. Anyway, the pills I have are 100 mg and
are 85% procyanidins. As I understand it, that's the key. .
.find the highest percentage of the procyanidins in the
tablet. The general rule is to take 1 mg for every pound of
body weight and round up where applicable.

I wish I could say I've seen dramatic results, but I confess
that I haven't taken it all that regularly. I'm a whimp
when it comes to subjecting myself to swallowing pills. But
you've all given me the desire to take them faithfully.
Besides feeling better, maybe I'll look 25 again! LOL!

Since I've jumped in on the subject of grape seed extract,
I'll continue on with some info that I thought about posting
a while ago and then didn't because I thought that either
everyone already knew or else wouldn't be interested.

I get my OTC medications from Wonder Laboratories through
the mail. Have for several years now. They have their own
brand and have everything you could possibly imagine. My
experience with the products is excellent. And the prices
are great. They have both grape seed extract as well as
white pine bark and a couple of pages devoted to other
herbal or naturopathic remedies. They also have
acetomenaphin, sleep-aids, vitamins, toothpaste, urinary
protection undergarments, feminine protection products, you
name it, they have it. . .even those slipper socks with
rubber treads that were a topic of dicussion last year were
in the last catalog. If anyone is interested in the address
and/or phone number of Wonder Laboratories (I don't think
they are online), please let me know and I'll get it to
you. Errol, this might be the answer to your lack of a
Wal-Mart! :-)

Take care everyone.
