I am catching up on some reading, and I see the posts about the ever
struggling problem of exercise and weight management. I HATE to exercise. I
just find it boring no matter what I do. Not to mention that when I have
done it in the past (in younger and healthier times) I always manage to gain
weight. Go figure. Anyway, my husband and I have gotten back into bike
riding, and I have to say that especially during the lovely spring days, it
has been very enjoyable. I know that biking may not be possible for some,
but for others it will be. I actually thought it may be something I could do
from watching a video about MS - a woman was shown often biking. I have
problems walking - my legs start to buzz and go numb, then afterward I suffer
with pretty bad pain, but I have not found this to be problem with biking.
So, I tried it, it works, and so we splurged and bought new bikes -- bikes
that you don't have to look at the pavement and crane your head upward while
you are riding. Hope this gives some encouragement to others.
