Subject: [TMIC] Re: [[TMIC] (no subject)]
Dear Brian,
I am sincerely sorry that you didn't find this list to be what you
wanted or expected. On this list are people from all walks of life, TM
patients, caregivers, friends and family, medical proffesionals, and a few
people that think themselves doctors or professionals. As with any other mixed
group of people, there are varying opinions, ideas, and theories. I understand
that from time to time some of us can "make a mountain out of a mole hill",
and carry on about things that some don't particularly like. Knowing all of
that, I invite you to join us again sometime, and please, if you have any
questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask them. There are people
here that would go to the ends of the earth to help you or find and answers
for you if they can. I personally don't care what the "current discussion" is,
if anyone, anywhere that reads this post has a problem, concern, question, or
idea that they think might be of benefit to themselves or others, PLEASE take
the time to post it on the list in order to give the thousands of helping
hands a chance to reach out. I did, and I don't mind sharing my experience
w/you. I recieved mail from such a variety of people that the discussions
ranged from "how this does not pertain to TM in some people's view", to "
Mandy, please stay in touch, I feel for you and will do anything to help". I
have met grouches,Dr. wanna be's,list monitors (there are no official one's
though, so ask away), and people more concerned with controlling others than
addressing any issue. I have also met some of the nicest, most caring people
that I have ever met, and was fortunate enough to make friends that are
probably some of the best that I have ever had. There are a tremendous number
of people here that honestly care, please don't let their silence (while
others may ramble) give you the impression that they are not there. They are
always there, and always willing to listen or help if they can. It seems that
they settle into the shadows when the subject matter shifts to unfriendly
territory, I believe because they have no interest in negativity, and also
because they want to help and be helped, and the simple truth is, there are
people here that just can't or don't want to be helped, and prefer to try to
keep the subject matter more of an argument than a conversation on any level.
All of that being said, I have a question for our friends at the
list:
WHERE ARE ALL OF THE KIND, LOVING, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, CARING,
COMPATIONATE, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND UNDERSTANDING PEOPLE THAT WERE HERE WHEN I
CAME AND HELPED ME SOOO MUCH ? Please make yourselves known to this man, I
fear that he may have the same needs as the rest of us, and is not getting
help or support from us because of some of the recent "silences".
Brian, I wish you the very best, and hope that you will give some of
these people a chance to make themselves known to you before you leave us for
good. I write you out of concern that you may have come here for help and/or
support, and I don't want you to feel as if this place is vacant of any. Nor
do I want any newcommers feeling as if this were a clique of some kind.
Please, stay posted, and read, and I am quite sure that you will find all of
the people that I mentioned in very short time.
To my friends at the TM list, I know that you also worry that people will not
see this list as a source of "positive light", and with that I ask you to GET
BACK IN THE MIX, WE NEED YOU.
Any of you can feel free to E-me anytime, if I can help, I will, if I can't,
I will simply take your questions to higher sources if I can.
To all of you,
BE WELL, AND LOVE EACH OTHER,
Mandy
