I too had an epidural (and a beautiful baby boy, now 6 1/2 years old) and
exactly eight weeks later (after much pain at the site) found myself in
hospital having lesions removed from my spinal cord. TM diagnosis followed
very soon after. Unfortunately, no amount of drugs, therapy, etc has ever
been beneficial and I am now classified as a T8-9 paraplegic, I don't walk
or have any movement from the waist down, but still get pain and
burning/tingling sensations. Doctors have always said TM is an auto immune
disease - as we all know - and that the epidural just let it all in!
Don't be discouraged, keep fighting, listen to your doctors and keep taking
your
medication - and don't be afraid to ask questions.
Be strong, love Karyne
