Hello Kathy,
Like all the others have said, don't over do it, recovery takes a long time
and you just may have some residual problems, I came down with TM in
December 1993, and I am lucky enough to see little improvements still, but I
do have a couple of seemingly permanent problems such as bladder and bowel
hickups, but they are controllable, and life goes on. I am nearly 56 years
of age, I work full time as an administration Officer in a busy Human
Resources unit of a large business unit of a city council, I commute 40
kilometers to work each morning and 40 kilometers back at evening in my own
car, I use an electric scooter for long distances and walk short ones with
two walking canes to assist. I travel by road to visit relatives regularly
distances in excess of 500 kilometers round trip.
All I can add really is to gradually ease back into work, work hard at your
rehab, be very positive and focused and never lose sight of the big picture
in your life.
Kind Regards from Errol, Narangba, Queensland, Australia.
