Hi Lauren,
I had an optical migraine a while back (no head-ache, but strange swirling
lights around the outer edge of the vision of one eye), and the opthamologist
who diagnosed it said it had to do with the blood vessels. Other things I've
read about migraines seem to say the same thing, and since TM affects nerve
messages rather than blood vessels, I would guess they are not directly
related.
