Hello all,
Just a short note to tell you all that 25 April is a very important and
special remembrance day in Australia and New Zealand. It commemorates the
landing at Gallipoli, Turkey in the first world war of allied (mainly ANZAC)
forces. In Australia, there will be dawn services at 4.28 am the exact
time of the first landings followed by breakfasts at the returned
serviceman's clubs and parades through the streets to remember those service
men and women who did not return from all wars and to honor those who
returned. It is normally a public holiday if it falls on a work day, some
states are having the Monday as a holiday. In Australia we only have three
living ANZAC veterans, all now in excess of 100 years of age. Recently the
French Government conferred high honors on those veterans who fought in
France in the first world war.

Just thought you may be interested.
Kind Regards from Errol, Narangba, Queensland, Australia.
