The high dose steroids given for TM treatment causes diabetes. The same has
happened to my nephew.
The UTI is caused by the sugar spilling into the urine & making the perfect
place for bacteria to flourish.
I just posted a website re a drug used to control steroid induced diabetes
and will repeat it here for you.

I do not know if the specific brand cited in the above URL is available in
Canada, but I think you can get the chromium picolinate in a good health
food store.

Subject: [TMIC] diabetes
Hi everybody!
My husband just spent another 15-day stint in hospital originally for a
UTI, sepsis.
He has now developed diabetes.
Does anybody have any knowledge of any correlation between diabetes and
TM? My husband also has adrenal insufficiency, which obviously could have
something to do with its onset.
I would appreciate any input. Thanks.
Wendy.
