Robert mentioned a website for that newspaper.
I think it would be neat if we could read the mes-
sages that were sent.
I started to send something to the paper last night
but was so upset with the rude letter that I couldn't
express my feelings without saying things that were
not 'lady-like'!! This morning I just feel sorry for some-
one who would say the crude things he said--I definitely
would not want to know someone like that--would "
like to find out who he was and expose him to the pub-
lic and his employer.
To those of you with placards, I have found fewer stares
(to which I am totally oblivious!!!) since I got my Handicap
tag. I decided that I would go that way when my 90 year
old aunt, with a heart condition, was yelled at and told "if
you're really handicapped why don't you get a permanent
tag?" I still don't use the handicap space if I can get a
spot near the door or if I'm having a really good day--so
then people see that a handicapped person also doesn't
use the space when it is not necessary.
In Oklahoma, to get a license tag you just need a form
you fill out, using your placard number on it, and send
it in with a dollar (s&h) and it will be sent to you. The
only requirement is that you carry the regular issued tag
in your car.
Just a thought! JanH
