Hi all,

I resisted applying for a handicapped permit until I coould no longer walk
without a cane and until the grocery shopping itself comepletely exhausted me. My
neurologist completed the form, and told me this, encouraging me to keep on using
it even when I had recovered: "If you only have so much energy to use, where do
you want to use it: walking in from the parking lot or doing the shopping or
other activity you've got planned?" I use that as my guide, remembering how
tiring the activity may be, and how I'll feel at the end as well as the
beginning. Our permits are for 5 years-and of coourse you don't HAVE to use them.
If you do, though, I'd reccommend getting the plaquard type:no matter whose car
you're in, or what state, it'll transfer.

Sam, in Boston where it got cold again :( but the forscythia are blooming! :)
