I don't recall ever hearing of Soma (carisoprodol),

but it would seem to be of interest to others in
this group. Having disqualified myself, let me
respond to your note.
I have been told that baclofen is the drug of choice
for spasticity of spinal origin. I suspect that of
those here taking spasticity drugs, most take baclofen.
Some take Neurontin. At the moment, I am taking
Zanaflex (tizanidine). I'm trying to get a pump.
Intrathecal baclofen (an implanted pump mainlining
into the CSF) is a way to get high dosages where it
counts without some side effects of oral baclofen.
Ask your neuro about it. There are several people
here on a pump.
Have you considered a prothesis for the hip
dysplasia? I got a new rear end suspension in 1993,
and it is now the best part of me. No more pain,
albeit my problem was degenerative wear after
decades of high dose oral steroids.
