Someone pointed out to me that insulin is produced by the pancreas, not the
liver.
Ooops!!!! Sorry about that. I think I did know that, but slipped up.
One other thought along the lines of depression -- does anyone know if there
is a way they can test the level of chemicals involved? That would be a sure-
fire way to tell if that was the problem. I know some people on the list have
had drs. try to convince them they are depressed (as if, "With all your
physical problems, of course you must be depressed") and the patient had to
convince the dr. he/she was fine and didn't need antidepressants.
Also, my neuro once for a very short time had me on an anti-anxiety drug
(Xanax), not, he said, because he thought I was anxious, but because it had a
side effect of smoothing out muscle movement. I wonder if the same might be
true of antidepressants.
