Pete,

At this point, any hope that we have, because of medical research going on,
is that some of the answers and solutions for other conditions like MS and
traumatic spinal cord injuries will help TMers as well.

A lot of the hope we have comes from the sharing we do in the TMIC. There
are people on this list that are living proof that we can have hope and many
of us can improve with time, therapy, and possibly the right combinations of
medications.

As TMers struggle with the problems TM brings, the most important hope we
have is that those around us will support us and help us get through this.
Take that away, and some of us risk losing the internal battle. If my legs
won't support me, I can use a cane, a walker, or a wheel chair. If bladder
control goes away, I can use catheters and diapers, just in case. What do I
do and where do I go if I lose the support of friends and loved ones?

Hang in there. Dealing with TM calls for strong people that know what really
matters.
