Mary Jeane, welcome to our family. Good for our Dr. keep off as many
meds as possible. Too many of the meds they give are worse than the
symptoms. Hot and cold will affect the symptoms. I can not stand a hot
tub or a hot shower. Cold weather is bad too. Back to the meds, too many
are given on an exploratory basis, take this and see what happens. I
know from 18 plus years.

Ken in beautiful central TX where it is in the 60s today.

Thank you so much for the replies to my introductory post.
I do already have a question. The neuro that diagnosed me said that my
symtoms weren't severe enough to warrant any meds or treatment...he seemed
to indicate to me that in my case the side effects from the meds would be
worse than putting up with the symtoms. Do you have to stomp your feet for
treatment of the lesser symtoms or is it really true that it is better
avoid the meds if you can?

Also, I have noticed that hot showers make the symtoms much worse...I
wonder about electric blankets...same effect? Sometimes I am so cold that
getting into a hot shower is the only way I can thaw out, yet the numbness
gets worse and more widespread for a short period of time. Long term, does
this slow recovery??

Thanks again,

Mary Jeane
