Well said Wim - it is the nature of support groups, even internet ones,
that people who need support hang out there. Occassionally we hear from
some one who recovered 100%, but most of us have not. I am sure there
are a lot out there who are doing fine. Case in point, more than 25
years ago I had viral encephalitis - and recovered fully. I had never
thought of looking for an encephalitis support group, but I might now
just to let them know that you can recover. (However, I have always
thought it significant that I got myelitis several years later....).

Sorry you have a TM too, you see ofcourse dark clouds but it is not
raining
yet, The DR is right, a lot of people with TM gets it back for 80% after
a
while, also a lot don't or its much less. The group here, most of them
stay
with the group because they did not recover 100%. The people who had a
TM
who completely recoverd or for 80% and normaly function again, its my
idea
that they are not with this group anymore, only the days they had there
questions and there story to share.

So don't look only to the dark clouds, behind them the sun is shining,
also
for you.
