To all,
I am speaking as a newcomer, and thought the newcomers like myself may
find this list to be closed minded and too regulated. I have only been here a
couple of months, and it has been my experience that I do not agree with
everything I read, nor do I feel the need to comment on everything I read.
Like everyone else here, there are a certain number of things that interest
me, and when I read about them, and the people that are dealing with them, I
try to offer any help that I may be. When there are postings on the list that
are not of interest to ME for whatever reason, I simply move on to the next
one. The same way I treat people and situations in public. I feel that the
freedom to express yourself is a birth right, almost instinctive, and although
I do not always agree with what I read, I do not feel the need to correct or
restrict anyone to my liking. I think that LIFE is what is being discussed
here, and life isn't always pleasant or calm or what we would like it to be.
There is not one person that I have spoken to that has TM that wouldn't tell
you that it effected more things in more ways than they ever imagined it
would. Those things and ways is called "sharing your experience", and that is
what I have gained the most from, in more ways than any of you could imagine !
I have gained knowledge about everything from my toe nails to my sex life
here, from people who are actually DOING IT ! I take from this list the things
that I feel will better my life, my health, and my perspective. My advice ,
for what it's worth, TAKE WHAT YOU NEED, GIVE WHAT YOU CAN, AND LIVE AND LET
LIVE PEACEFULLY ! I wish you all good health and patience with each other AND
life. I am not concerned with any arguments I may get about my opinion, I KNOW
where the delete button is on my computer. I suggest we all remember how to
use it. Mandy

Checking my e-mail this am,there were 48 messages from the TM
group...and I had checked yesterday at about 4pm and found 28. I will
risk the wrath of the group and suggest that comments that are personal
(I liked what you said, Keep your spirits up etc.) be sent directly to
the person for whom they are intended and not copied to the list.
Messages requesting and offering information would, of course, be sent
to the list so all members can comment . The off topic jokes and
stories would still be included prefaced by OT.
My concern is that new members may feel on viewing submissions to the
list, that it is more of a chat room than an information forum.
