I was wondering how the person is by now who was passing out for one
second. I forget who it was. I can only speak for myself - but I was
having episodes of what I would call "blanking out." I never really
fell to the floor, ...and I don't have TM but only Vitamin B deficiency.
Anyway, here's a thought. I had been debating between a sugar
problem, stress, and maybe lack of Vitamin B. When I get the episodes,
mine are not really like a heart attack. Yet I've felt low blood sugar
before and it doesn't really seem like that either. So I kind of just
researched this on my own, with only the help of a Nurse so far and I
had a couple of far-out ideas. One is tree pollen or grass pollen. The
other was something about sugar.
Today I stumbled across something, and I thought I would put it out
here for some thought. My husband mentioned potassium. I was starting
a sentence and meant to say "low blood sugar" and I had said "low......"
and he completed the sentence saying potassium.
I got to thinking so I went up to the counter at the Mall - I was
kind of blanking out for a second - and then I would be okay. I ordered
an orange juice, and believe it or not, I felt great. Felt like I could
go around the Mall about twice, walking! So I'm thinking I was low
potassium - you know, just a temporary thing. I take a blood pressure
medicine (Dyazide) that supposedly doesn't interfere with potassium, but
anyway, I am figuring that's what was causing my "blanking out."
Also, my husband has passed out a few times---up in Washington DC,
he passed out the day Reagan was shot. They were showing diagrams on tv
- and we lived right up there by the scene and somehow he got wound up
and just passed out from the stress. They ran tests and he was
absolutely just fine! I guess in some people it is just a stress
thing. I also knew a few girls in high school that would pass out when
giving a speech up in front of class or in a high school play---boomp
they would be on the floor. I've never actually hit the floor - I only
kind of blank out and have to hold onto a shelf for a few seconds.
I'm only posting this because I thought the potassium would be
something to think about or experiment with. Something you might not
have tried. If it's not that, it must be stress with me. It's almost
like my nerves short-circuit - and it's only during stress. It could
still be sugar, I guess, or something more awful, but if I can solve
mine otherwise, I will. And....I know the girl who posted originally
already has a Doctor working with her.....so this is only a far- out
idea.
