I figgered out that in my case I had also spasm during the begin of the
night and it had to do with warm and cold. You said it was very wet at the
moment, thats almost the hole year here in Holland. Wet weather is the worst
to keep your feet warm. When I kept my feet warm and dry the spasm was a lot
less. I noticed that when my feet and legs were cold, during the time the
warmed up, the spasm was a lot. Now I know and keep my feet and legs warm
the spasm is reduced a lot, not that its totaly gone, but I can sleep
normaly.
