As for Canadian accents, I love the way they say aboat instead of about and
proe-gress for progress.
As for speakin' suth'n, my wife, a true Meahm-ffian, says my spoken accent
sounds too phony for her, and maybe it is, but I tell her, don't tease me
too much 'cuz all switch to Spanglish, a rapidly spreading lingo in
California and other parts of the Southwest where Hispanics are increasing
in numbers.
