Some interesting links here, do visit!
They immediately took away the scooter and put him in a different
wheelchair, removed the catheter that had been indwelling since his November
'98 initial hospitalization, taught him to self cath, and began the heavy
rehab. The attitude there is "this is all the recovery you are going to
get and we are here to teach you how to use what you have to live the best
you can" The REHAB is hard work! Visitors only allowed after a full &
active day. His mom told us this morning that he is fatigued & "edgy" when
they visit in the evening.
He has some limited access to a computer, but has only used it to try and do
some work for his Dad's company which is continuing to pay his salary and
really needs his input into the division he was running before the onset of
TM. I wish he would get on line here and meet some of you, but that does
not seem to be going to happen in the near future. In the meantime, if
no-one objects, I am going to continue to monitor TMIC and even put my
empathetic 2cents worth in on occassion :)
love to you all,
