Sharon,
Congrats on the WC. I am glad that you are looking at it as being able to do
more things. It will also give you some aerobic exercise. Let me know when
you are ready and we can met at the PIR(Phoenix International Raceway) and
have a race.
Speaking of racing, I was at the laundromat the other day. (I hate
laundromats so bad, I am seriously considering joining a nudist colony.) and
there was a girl about 7 or 8 strapped in a wheelchair. We met at the
dryers. She was watching the clothes go 'round and 'round
When I first said, "Hi!", she smiled at me and turned her head. She couldn't
talk, but could make some noises. I asked her father if she could have a
race with me. We raced between the washers. Her pushed her and she WON! I
wish I had a picture to show the grin on her face.
Her sister then became the "engine" and we had a few more races. She always
beat me! When we started each race, I would say, "Ready! Set! Go!" and when
I got to "Go" I could hear her make a noise trying to say, "Go!"
On one of the races, she won and I didn't stop and "ran into" the drier. She
just giggled! We even played "Hide and Seek".
I was having a bad day, but she turned it completely around.
I ask that you all say a prayer for her.
John
