Constant pain at the point of lesion

My wife's first TM attack, or 'episode' as we were told they are called,
was located at T-8, a point near her waist level. This myelitis 'episode'
occurred in September '97.
An MRI confirmed the lesion or 'plaque', another one of their terms, at
that spot.

She has had a feeling of pain in that area since her attack, but nothing
beyond an uncomfortable feeling, until recently.
In the past few days, she has been experiencing more pain at that point, a
constant but not excruciating pain, just terribly annoying.
Her question is: how many of you out there are also experiencing pain,
however the intensity, at the point of lesion, for how long, and what if
anything are you taking for it....???
