Gaye:
I know this is a late response but I am just getting through my emails
now. I have never been given a diagnosis of what is causing my numbness
and cold/burning feelings except a herniated disk at C5-C6 that needed
removal. However, my doctors suspect that something more, but
insignificant, is going on.
I was put on Clomipramine for anxiety and found that it helped my
anxiety and my numbness and tingles. I think the reduced anxiety and
reduced symptoms actually compunded each other to make things even
better.
I now increase my Clomipramine when my numbness gets worse. It has
helped me but it takes about a month to have an effect.
I have also found that Clonazepam helps for a "quick fix" when symptoms
flare up due to stress or tiredness. Clonazepam is an anti-seizure
medication like you mentioned in your email.
Good luck:
Let us know how you're doing.
Peter
