If your Mom does need chemo, she should ask if her regimen usually
causes hair loss - not all chemo does. If hair loss is possible, take
her to a wig shop early on, even before the treatment starts. Have fun
trying on wigs (some of them are really funny), then find a wig that she
likes that is close to her normal hair style. You don't need to buy it
then, but once the hair really starts to go, she may be too upset to
handle wig buying. I also had my hair dyed back to its natural color
(as near as I can remember) and had it cut short. Tell your mom that
her hair will grow back - mine came back with more body and some nice
waves. Ann

She
and my sister were discussing the possible side effects. When they were
talking about the possibility of hair loss, my sister said to my mother,

that happens, at least you won't have to shave your legs or armpits!"(
My
mother burst out laughing!)

Now THERE'S someone who is looking for the bright side! LOL.... I love
it!
