I have had relief from my pins & needles from acupuncture. After inserting
the needles, they attach electrodes to the needles to stimulate them to
increase the beneficial effects. In olden days, they would turn the needles.
It is not uncommon for Chiropractors to be certified in acupuncture. They
tend to be more open minded about alternative medicines than do Drs. It
sounds to me Kris that you had some sort of electrical stimulation. I had a
similar jerking reaction in my foot in my first session. I went about 4
times, and the parathesis in my arms went away. I have stopped temporarily,
until the Drs can figure out what type of diagnosis they want to give me. I
also tried physical therapy too, in the hopes that I could ward off or relieve
the parathesis on my own. Did not work at all. Hope I have helped out some.
