Hello everyone,

First of all I would like to say a great big WELCOME to all of the newbies to
the list. You have found a great source of information and support here. As
the saying goes, sorry you had to find us, but so very glad you did!

Next, I would like to extend a HUGE heart felt THANK YOU to all of my friends
from this wonderfully supportive list for all of your e-mails, cards, phone
calls, and more, with concerns of my recent health matters. I cannot tell you
just how much all of this has meant to me!! I cannot find the words. To know
that we all have each other is simply overwhelming!! What a bond we have
created amongst one another. I'm afraid if I start mentioning names, I'll
forget and I don't want to do that.

I apologize for not getting on here sooner. It has been a slow recovery this
time around. I ran not only into the valleys of another onset, but side
affects from IV steroids treatments and very low blood pressure for a little
over the past week, which of course caused a lot of fatigue. The recovery with
this onset is not as long as with the original one BUT it is harder. It has
affected me more in the sense that my right side is more involved as well as
my bladder, legs, feet, low back, neck, arms, & hands. I have more pain this
time around as a residual also.

For the first time since I've been home, I took a small walk outside with my
two youngest children today. It was a freedom like feeling! Afterwards, I was
tired but felt good that I did it. I would like to do the same tomorrow. I
know I'm not able to do grocery shopping yet, but am willing to try it in
short jaunts by next week.

Lastly, but far from leastly, I'd like to say that God sent me an Angel in the
way of Lynn. Most of you know that Mom (Lynn) and I adopted each other, or
actually I asked her to adopt me quite some time ago. She blessed me with
saying something like only if you have a daughter I think, LOL. Mom, I want to
say THANK YOU for taking the time and effort for updating our list with what
was going on with me and saving all of that mail for me. Everyone has said
what a good friend you (Lynn) are to her. You folks don't know the half of it.
Mom, I know how much stress this had to have cause for you to have to not only
update the list but to take in all of the mail and to respond when you were
not feeling all that well either. Thank you just doesn't seem appropriate
enough.

To everyone who was and is going through some health ailments of their own, I
am praying for ALL of you. I'm trying to keep up with my mail, at least the
reading part of it. Please know that I am with you in prayer and thoughts.
Once I can, I will get caught up on personal mail and respond to each and
everyone of you for your kind words and thoughts. I think I have kept all of
the mail Mom has sent me. In case I haven't a blanket THANK YOU is in order.

Love to ALL of you,
Maria :)
