Kris expressed many of the same things I was thinking, only more beautifully.
As she said, probably the best thing is just wait a while til emotions settle
down. William's reaction was probably just his way of handling it, and I'm
sure the reaction with the groceries was just from being mad/discouraged about
the other events. You might try to persuade him to let you do a little more
planting in a little while (maybe check with whoever's in charge about what
their requirements and specifications are so this doesn't happen again? Maybe
even lodge a complaint about how it was handled?) If he doesn't want you to do
that, maybe you could set up some kind of plant or flower pots near his door
or alcove or balcony, whatever he has, depending on how much space he has
there. I have heard of people growing even tomatoes in containers rather than
in the ground. Definitely don't go take down the shrubs or bird-feeders --
give everyone a chance to cool down.
Hope you and Larry can also get the blood pressure under control and his job
situation works out. It does seem like when it rains, it pours, huh?!
Hoping tomorrow is a better day for you all~
