neuropathic pain

My episode started a few months ago, with numbness and weakness in my
legs.
The weakness has improved but the numbness has been replaced by a
constant
unpleasant "cold burning" pain. I have searche thru the literature and
this seems to be what is called neuropathic pain. My neurologist has
started
me on clomipramine, and is building up the dose. No real help yet. Next
step would seem to be anticonvulsant drugs like carbamazepine or
suchlike.
Does anybody have any personal experience?
